If you walk through the streets of Colaba in Mumbai, you will meet a multitude of people who will offer you appear as secondary artists in a movie or video clip for Bollywood screens. Just not having a Hindu look is enough to pass the casting. They usually pay about 10 or 15 euros for a session that can sometimes be extended during a good day.

In China, although less common, there is also the possibility that a tourist jumps to the big screen. In Kunming we met a producer who was looking for foreigners to shoot a chapter of the television series. I was with an Irishman and we did not doubt a curious minute to see how the Chinese rode it and take us about 15 euros for a couple of hours.

In the end they were just a couple of hours and just looking at the crazy people who put the hundreds of Chinese watching the filming behind the windows, I would say that they saw me a few million people on TV who will never know that guy painted there ...
