Next December 26 we are leaving on a trip to tour southern Italy. Unlike most occasions, we have organized this trip well in advance and apart from the outbound flights (Bari) and return (Naples) we already have the accommodation booked in each of the cities and the rented car -a brand new Panda who will be waiting for us at the Bari- airport.
I usually prefer to improvise on the fly and that the destination marks the itinerary according to appetite and surprises that you find along the way. However, during the nadiveñas holidays many accommodations are closed in the south of Italy and we have preferred to have the trip tied and avoid headaches during the holidays.
To make the itinerary I had the invaluable help of two good friends, Boris and Gianni, who run Zagara travel a travel agency focused on ecotourism in regions as appetizing as Sicily, Puglia, Sardinia and Crete. To prepare a trip, there is nothing better than having a few beers with experts in the area who also turn out to be great companions of life.

This is going to be our 10-day itinerary through southern Italy from Bari to Naples:
During our trip we will stay two nights in Polignano a Mare, a fishing village nestled on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea, a couple more nights in the historic Lecce, covered with baroque ornaments where we will also spend the end of the year.
