Live India, give it gas!

There is no doubt, during the first hour of the morning it is the best time to travel to most places in India. We already know that you are a piece of mandrel, especially during your vacations, but if you are in India, as one Christ said, “lift your ass and go, Lazarus!” Especially if you are in the south of the country where thermometers can burst of heat.

During the morning, the air is fresh and the light is crystal clear. To the south of Chennai, in the direction of Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry and Cuddalore there are groves with bayans of gigantic sizes accompanied by coconut palms and palm groves. In January and February, during the harvest season, you will also enjoy the smell of fresh straw in the air, rice paddies, sugar cane and cereal fields that literally eat the road.

Nice to rent a motorcycle around the place. They usually go out for about 3 or 4 euros a day and, with them, you enjoy crossing those extensive rice fields, cereals or skirting those roads full of chillies under the sun. It is a pleasure reserved for Hindu gods or backpackers wanting to live life.

The majority of motorcycles that you will find cheap range from 50 to 75 cc. Almost all of them work with manual gears and, while you light them with your foot, you discover a new sense called smell that reverberates old reminiscences of some previous life; surrounded by chillies, coconut palms, palm groves and indecipherable plants.

You know then that you are in India and, suddenly, you want to stop the clock. The vacations will one day end and you are afraid to go back home and go back to the office again. That's why you grab the handlebars of the motorcycle and give it deep gas enjoying that unique moment that India offers you.

Under the vegetable mantle where southern India shelters you, you follow your path. Soon you will arrive at your hostel and you will finish that little daily journey. A short vacation day where you probably learned more than any entire office week.

But you will come back. As much as I weigh you. You will return home. Time to time. And one day, from the office, you will read these lines again and try to take the matter from iron knowing that you lie to yourself.

But inside, a little voice, will keep asking for more trips, please, more trips!
