On the occasion of the Shanghai Universal Exhibition on May 1, the Chinese authorities have had the wise decision to eliminate the restrictions that were placed on all travelers with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

It should not be forgotten that there are 51 countries with restrictions for travelers with a serological state outside normality. Among them, 5 countries do not offer HIV-positive entry visas and 23 nationalities are obliged to deport the tourist in case they are shown to be infected with HIV. Among these countries are large such as India, Russia or Australia.

In fact, the United States recently approved a measure of this nature.

According to experts, restrictions only make sense at the beginning of an epidemic. When it has already spread, as in the case of HIV, the bans already make little sense.
